Inner roof insulation is coming loose
From AAS Observatory Wiki
The inner roof surface consists of sheets of a thin insulating material. The adhesive on the sheets is failing, causing the material to hang loose from the ceiling. This detracts from the appearance of the observatory, and may allow varmints and critters of various types to colonize the space between insulation and roof. It looks like the adhesive has failed in the past, and someone has already braced wooden shims, about 36" x 1" x 1/4", to keep the material in place. This looks somewhat shabby as well. Volunteeers are needed to determine the best way to fix this, and to effect the repairs.
