Telephone service to observatory

Status: Resolved.

At around April 22, the phone was reported as no longer working. I contacted LCRA, who provided contact numbers at Verizon. Verizon as us to perform a simple test, by which we confirmed that the problem was in the network, not onsite. Verizon fixed the problem, after which we were able to get a dial tone and dial out, but could not receive calls. I installed an Emerson phone, which fixed the receive calls problem. Fixed May 9, 2008.
